Today we’re launching a new polling tracker for the 2026 Governor’s race — built to make it easier to see where the field stands and how opinions are shifting over time.
Instead of bouncing between articles, PDFs, and cross-tabs, you can now view polling trends in one place and track the race as new surveys come out.
Why we built it
If you follow California campaigns, you know the challenge: polls vary by methodology, sample, timing, and sponsor. Some are internal, some are public, and some barely make headlines.
Reading them one at a time can give a distorted picture.
This tracker does the heavy lifting for you — combining and smoothing polling results so you can see the overall trajectory of the race, not just the latest splashy release.
What makes our tracker useful
-
Rolling trendlines instead of isolated numbers
-
Weighted to favor newer, higher-quality polling
-
Internals are included, but do not dominate the average
-
Sortable leaderboard shows where candidates stand right now
-
Full list of polls with links to sources for transparency
In short — it’s built for people who follow elections seriously and want a cleaner view of what’s happening beneath the headlines.
Use it, share it, bookmark it
We expect this page to become a go-to reference as the race develops. Save it, share it with colleagues, and check back whenever a new poll drops.
